I love the work of Jo Deeley. It fascinates me how she uses different textures and methods to create sculptural shapes and designs, through  making her own three dimensional fabrics, using the processes of knitting, weaving, plaiting, floding and pressing fabric. Through researching her work and ideas I feel inspired to experiment using such techniques within my current work whilst adding my own twist.

The work of Maggie Ayres

"Maggie Ayres creates unique artwork, using a variety of materials, including hand painted silks, applied fibres, photographic images, dyed velvets, stitching and found objects such as driftwood and sea-glass."

I like the way Maggie Ayres uses a variety of textile techniques to create such an interesting delicate piece of work similar to my prefered way of working in Art.
